Call of Duty 2

The second game in the astounding series was released on October 25, 2005 for PC and on November 15, 2005 for the Xbox 360 in Europe, Australia and North America. This game is set in World War II and is experienced through the perspectives of four soldiers, one in the Red Army, one in the United States Army and two in the British Army. The Xbox 360 version sold over 250,000 copies in its first week, and had sold 1.4 million copies by October 2006. In this Call of Duty there are four individual campaigns that are split into three stories, American, British, and Russian.

American Campaign
As Corporal Bill Taylor of the 2nd Ranger Battalion, the player starts off by playing a part in D-Day, at the assault of Pointe du Hoc, to destroy a German artillery battery and hold it against a massive German counteroffensive in the following mission.

British Campaign
The player takes control as a British soldier, Sergeant John Davis of the 7th Armoured Division. The first level has the player taking part in a sneak attack on German troops, ending with the destruction of a German supply station.

Russian Campaign
The player controls Private Vasili Koslov of the 13th Guards Rifle Division, initially involed in the defense of Moscow from the advanced German forces.

Once again, the American Campaign takes the cake on this one for me, but enough about my opinion what about yours right?  From now on I will have a Question of the Day, just leave a comment with your answer.
QOTD:Which Campaign was your favorite and why?

D-Day is a day to remember forever and should never be forgotten. Thanks to all the soldiers that are serving right now and a special thanks to those who have gave their lives to give us such a beautiful country
Stay tuned for a post on Call of Duty 3 soon!

Call of Duty (Original)

The first installment to this extraordinary series was published by Activision in 2003. This is the first game in a series with the same name as the series. The game simulates the infantry and combined arms warfare of World War II. The game engine originated from Quake III: Team Arena.  There are three total campaigns in this phenomenal game. American, British, and lastly Soviet. Each campaign told from the obvious point of views. Since there are three campaigns I am not going to explain each campaign thoroughly I will just set the story for each one.
The American Campaign
The first mission of the American campaign begins with Private Joey Martin, whom is a member of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, and is training at Camp Toccoa in Georgia, United States on August 9, 1942. This is meant to familiarize the player with the game controls. The first mission occurs toward midnight on June 5, 1944, as part of the airbourne operations which began the invasion of Normandy. Martin is inserted outside the town of Sainte-Mère-Église as a pathfinder to lay a drop zone beacon for other paratroopers. The paratrooper drops end up being scattered,  leaving Martin in a mixed unit formed from various companies.

The British Campaign
The first mission of the British campaign has Sergeant Jack Evans and a unit from the 2nd Ox and Bucks of the 6th Airborne Division take part in Operation Tonga. Just after midnight on 6 June 1944, the unit is dropped from Horsa gliders alongside the Caen Canal near Pegasus Bridge, Bénouville. They capture the bridge and defend it from the nearby German forces.

The Soviet Campaign
The first Soviet mission occurs during the Battle of Stalingrad, on 18 September 1942. Corporal Alexei Ivanovich Voronin is on one of many barges transporting Soviet soldiers across the Volga River, many of which are destroyed on the way by German artillery or Luftwaffe aircraft. Once across, Voronin is unarmed and must avoid machine gun fire and find an experienced sniper to help him. Soviet artillery eventually clears out the German machine guns, allowing Voronin and the others to enter Red Square.

IMO, the American Campaign is the best out of all three because you get to play the classic American army story. This game won "Game of the Year" for 2003 from several reviewers. It was the recipient of the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences 2004 "Game of the Year" award defeating other very popular games like Command and Conquer: Generals.

The Ultimate Fps

Call of Duty is a first-person and third-person shooter video game franchise, created by Ben Chichoski. The series began on the PC and then stretched out to consoles and handhelds. A lot of "spin off" games have also been released alongside the main series. Most of the games in this series take place in World War II. However there have have been 3 Call of Duty games that were not in this time era. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 took place in modern times and the most recent installment to this series is Call of Duty: Black Ops which  is set in the Cold War era. All together this franchise has made over 55 million units sold worldwide and taking over $3 Billion in retail sales as you are reading this blog.
